I, myself find world building to be both wonderful and a right pain. It involves making up the lore and description of the creative universe you are telling the story of. World building is a tool used by authors, game makers, film makers–pretty much everyone in the creative field. It did not help that I became a devoted Potterhead after finishing the Deathly Hallows, even travelling all the way to a second-hand bookstore an hour away just to get a hardcover version of the Half-blood prince (It was about as close to an adventure that I can get).īut my question is, why was I so invested in these two franchises? And why did the rest of the world seem to agree with my thinking as well? My friends, the answer is simple, world building. Like instead of cocaine, nerd culture is my drug. Whenever I get really invested in a show, movie, game etc. Honestly, I felt a part of myself die after finishing the last of each series.

Though, I am partial about garlic, well that’s beside the point. Now that everyone has online school, I have finally resigned myself to binge watching both the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings film franchises’ excluding the Hobbit trilogy because, even I need sleep okay? I may hiss at sunlight and stay awake at night rather than day but I’m not a vampire or least I don’t think I am one.

I would say that this is a tragedy but I’ve already been set on the NEET life since day 1, though, I might die from boredom before the coronavirus gets me first. Except, rather than the world ending, humans are instead subjugated indoors and into self-quarantine. Well, it finally happened–the apocalypse that the Mayans predicted.
